Staff knew how to keep people safe and understood their responsibilities to protect people from the risk of abuse. At this inspection we found the service remained Good. Since the inspection visit the manager has completed their registration with the CQC.Īt the last inspection in August 2015, the service was rated Good. At the time of our inspection visit the manager was not registered but was going through the process to become registered. The manager had started at the service in September 2017. Registered persons have legal responsibility for meeting the requirements in the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and associated Regulations about how the service is run. Like registered providers, they are ‘registered persons’. A registered manager is a person who has registered with the Care Quality Commission to manage the service. The service is required to have a registered manager. 58 people were receiving regulated activity at the time of our inspection. Where they do, we also take into account any wider social care provided. Not everyone using ExtraCare Charitable Trust Lark Hill Village receives regulated activity CQC only inspects the service being received by people provided with ‘personal care’ help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. CQC does not regulate premises used for extra care housing this inspection looked at people’s personal care and support service. People’s care and housing are provided under separate contractual agreements. The accommodation is bought or rented, and is the occupant’s own home. Extra care housing is purpose-built or adapted single household accommodation in a shared site or building. This service provides care and support to people living in specialist ‘extra care’ housing. This inspection took place on 5 and 22 December 2017 and was unannounced. 5th December 2017 - During a routine inspection
